About the Job: We are currently working with industry leaders in managing complex construction projects across Victoria, mainly in the Metropolitan area of Melbourne. The client is committed to excellence, innovation, and community-focused outcomes, specializing in delivering high-quality projects and in a diverse portfolio spanning Government projects, Education, Healthcare, Infrastructure, and public spaces.
About the Role: The team is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join them. The successful candidate will be responsible for and comfortable overseeing 2-3 projects at a time, at values of $5-15 million with the potential for some higher valued projects also. For this, we believe a minimum of 3-5 years experience is required.
The Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Construction, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or delays proactively.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, contractual and quality standards.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
What you will bring to the role: - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources as needed.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
