Construction Estimator

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects considering materials labor and overhead expenses.

Collaborate with project managers architects and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate project assessments.

Analyze blueprints specifications and other project documentation to identify cost implications and potential risks.

Develop detailed cost breakdowns and reports ensuring transparency and clarity in project cost estimates.

Stay updated on industry pricing trends material costs and construction methodologies to provide accurate and competitive estimates.

Present cost estimates to internal stakeholders and external clients addressing inquiries and providing additional details as needed.

Collaborate with procurement teams to assess vendor quotes and negotiate pricing for materials and services.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in construction management Civil Engineering or a related field.

3 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.

Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong knowledge of construction materials methods and industry pricing.

Skills:

Advanced proficiency in estimating software and tools for accurate and efficient project assessments.

Analytical and detailoriented mindset to analyze project documentation and identify cost factors.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with project teams clients and vendors.

Strong negotiation skills for obtaining competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced construction environment.

Preferred:

Certification in Estimating or a related field.

Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) for enhanced project understanding.

Experience in both residential and commercial construction estimating.

Participation in industry conferences and ongoing professional development.

Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and their cost implications.
