Construction Engineer

Our client a prominent oil production company in Thailand is currently seeking a Construction Engineer to join their team.

Type of hire: Contract 2 years

Location: Bangkok and Worksite

• Work closely with the EPCI contractor and internal engineering teams to review and understand design plans making sure theyre feasible for construction and spotting any potential problems early on.
• Offer helpful suggestions during the design phase to make the plans easier to build and ensure they match the projects objectives.
• Coordinate with the EPCI contractor to make sure we get the materials and equipment needed for building wellhead platforms on time.
• Work with suppliers and the EPCI contractor to maintain quality and stick to project schedules.
• Create and follow through on detailed construction plans including schedules and resource needs in partnership with the EPCI contractor.
• Supervise and organize construction work onsite making sure everything matches the approved plans and safety rules.
• Keep an eye on quality control teaming up with the EPCI contractor to ensure our work meets industry standards and project requirements.
• Regularly inspect work and address any quality issues promptly.
• Focus on safety by reinforcing safety policies and procedures with the EPCI contractor to keep the work environment safe.
• Identify and minimize risks by assessing potential hazards and working with the EPCI contractor to put safety measures in place.
• Keep thorough records of construction activities like daily reports and quality control documents with the help of the EPCI contractor.
• Provide updates to project management both internally and with the EPCI contractor about construction progress and any challenges or solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience of over 10 years in construction engineering and construction management with a focus on EPCI projects for wellhead platforms in the oil and gas industry.
• Indepth knowledge of piping mechanical engineering principles construction methodologies and relevant industry codes and standards. Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams EPCI contractors and stakeholders.
• Good command of both written and spoken English. (TOEIC Score Requirement: 500).
• Familiarity with relevant software tools for project planning and documentation.
