We are seeking a skilled Concrete Estimator to join our team and play a crucial role in accurately assessing bid proposals and analyzing project scopes primarily focusing on commercial and industrial projects. As a Concrete Estimator you will be responsible for reviewing quotes assisting in project management and overseeing material procurement. Your meticulous attention to detail and expertise will ensure the timely and precise preparation of pricing estimates for new projects as well as assessing prices for change orders on existing contracts.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate project leads to expand our client base.
- Thoroughly examine and interpret project specifications and blueprints.
- Conduct comprehensive and precise quantity takeoffs.
- Generate detailed estimates and proposals for designated projects.
- Actively pursue bid opportunities maintaining consistent communication and awareness of project statuses.
- Compile accurate material "takeoffs" required for each project.
- Cultivate and uphold positive relationships and ethical standards with stakeholders including owners consultants engineers subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provide support to the operations department throughout the construction process.
- Assist operations in executing awarded contracts and projects including estimating and pricing change orders and resolving contractual issues promptly.
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of our estimating productivity database.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of concrete estimating experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
- Background in concrete construction is essential.
- Previous field experience as a Project Manager is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and planning abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for clearly articulating bid inclusions exclusions and proposal clarifications.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical and legal documents.
- Demonstrated understanding of conceptual estimating estimating techniques and cost control principles.
- Familiarity with various estimating processes and delivery methods.
- Knowledge of contract types and deal structures.
- Experience in value engineering processes to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.
