Computer Vision Research Scientist

About you

You are an ambitious and capable machine learning scientist with direct experience developing novel approaches to computer vision problems. You have a strong research background either in an academic or industrial lab. You are conversant with the relevant branches of mathematical statistics. You care about impact and want to do work that matters.

List of main duties and responsibilities:

• Applying computer vision techniques to measure biomarkers
• Conducting research and authoring academic papers
• Contributing to our research strategy
• Keeping up to date with relevant research

Requirements:

• 4 years of experience researching and implementing Machine Learning algorithms in the industry or academia
• Strong understanding of Deep Learning techniques
• Demonstrable experience developing novel Computer Vision models
• Strong and demonstrable software development skills (including development pattens test driven development)
• Good communication and data visualisation skills
• Experience with core Python data science packages (numpy pandas PyTorch or Tensorflow)
• Good knowledge of git bash and coding best practices

Desirable:

• Publications at top ML conferences/journals
• PhD in Computer vision or relevant quantitative subject (statistics mathematics etc)
• Experience in stakeholder and project management
• Previous experience in the biomedical or other highly regulated industry
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS EC2 S3 Batch)
