The companys CorPath system is the first FDAcleared medical device to bring roboticassisted precision to neurovascular percutaneous coronary and peripheral interventions. Corindus is advancing the field of interventional medicine with robotics through improvements to procedural control precision and workflow.

Position Summary:

The Sr. R&D Engineer will contribute to new product development by design and development of product subsystems electromechanical test set ups performing technical research preparing reports and presenting to the team. You will be an important contributor to realizing the next generation of interventional robotic platform. This is a collaborative opportunity where you will work crossfunctionally with R&D engineers Quality Assurance Quality Control Manufacturing and external vendors. This role is suited for energetic and selfstarter engineers with continuous improvement mindset and strong problem solving skill who loves to work on a wide variety of projects and tasks and learn and grow fast in a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop product subsystems
Lead a variety of technical and process improvement projects of different sizes and disciplines
Design electromechanical test fixtures to assist test operations and assembly
Formulate test methods for characterization verification and validation purposes
Test new or existing products in the development cycle to characterize performance
Analyze test data using statistical methods
Wire and install motors drives racks and motion control equipment
Help with the vendor communications and procurements

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Robotics Engineering or close field is required
5 years electromechanical R&D engineering experience at least 3 years in medical device or other regulated industries required
Must have handson experience in design assembly and testing of electromechanical systems
Experience with complex electromechanical systems (integration test) required
Experience with launching products highly desired
Demonstrated CAD proficiency desired. Solidworks preferred.
Experience in offthe shelf component selection for regulated industries highly desired
Experience in interpretating various regulatory standards required
Experience with statistical tools and software such as Minitab is desired
Experience using modifying and programing LabView routines highly desired
Ability to multitask and work under aggressive deadlines are critical to success
Execute assigned projects and duties with minimal supervision
Proficiency in using MS Office is required
