Company Driver

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating company vehicles in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Tasks

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods across the United States as required
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and ensuring that goods are secured and protected for transport
• Plan routes taking into account road conditions running times and traffic congestion to guarantee timely delivery
• Perform daily maintenance checks on vehicles including oil fuel and tire inspections and report any issues to the appropriate person
• Maintain accurate and timely logs of all driving activities including hours of service mileage and fuel purchases
• Communicate any issues delays or changes to delivery schedules with the appropriate party
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations including those related to hazardous materials

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• At least 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to operate vehicles in all weather conditions and on various types of terrain
• Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to commercial driving
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed.
