Who are Kimberley Community Legal Services
We are an independent notforprofit community legal service one of Australias leading and largest remote civil law practices that predominantly supports aboriginal communities. A multidisciplinary service offering legal social work and financial counselling we provide a free service to vulnerable community members experiencing disadvantage. We have offices in rra and Broome with regular outreach to urban and remote towns and communities in the beautiful Kimberley region.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Community Education Coordinator(s) (CEC) to join our multidisciplinary team in Broome or rra WA. You will be working to ensure our multipractice services are strongly connected to the communities in which we operate especially remote Aboriginal communities as someone who is passionate about community development and education. You will develop coordinate and deliver Community Legal Education (CLE) and Community Education (CE) and capacitybuilding services to those communities by enhancing awareness and understanding about the law and nonlegal issues how to identify prevent and deal with problems and awareness of the help available from legal and nonlegal support services.
