Commercial Insurance Accounting Specialist

This is a remote position.

The ideal candidate for the Commercial Insurance Accounting Specialist is someone who has a background in accounting bookkeeping and reconciliations preferably within the insurance industry. This individual will possess great communication skills as well as great interpersonal skills to ensure the Agency continues to maintain positive relationships with our clients carriers and finance companies. In addition the candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate client billing records and notes; and updating applicable organizational programs. The role requires routine followups with clients and collaboration with team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

• Sending and reconciling invoices
  

• Providing billing account updates with clients
  

• Payment processing
  

• Generating and processing premium finance agreements
  

• Addressing and resolving client questions issues and concerns relating to billing
  

• Generating and maintaining weekly accounting reports
  

• Generating client invoices and payment receipts
  

• Ability to communicate and work well with other carriers accounting departments and underwriter regarding any payments and invoices
  

• Updating and maintaining accurate customer accounts and records including documentation collection notices and payment plans
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance (preferred)
  
• 2 years experience working in a billing specialist role
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  
• Incredible attention to detail
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
