Cloud Security Engineer

Our client has been migrating from onpremise to cloud environment. As more applications are migrated this creates an increasing demand for cloud security expertise to analyze application traffic flows leverage cloudbased firewalls to secure migrated applications and assist in triaging troubleshooting and supporting cloudrelated incidents. There is a critical need to fortify our security posture in the cloud environment.

Job Summary:

Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for designing developing testing implementing and maintaining robust security measures for Clients hybrid cloud infrastructure. A successful candidate would possess expertlevel technical and engineering subject matter expertise in two or more Cybersecurity functional areas. They will have demonstrable experience integrating various cybersecurity networking and automation tools to monitor detect and protect cloud workloads and cloud infrastructures. The candidate will develop and manage controls that ensure our cloudbased systems confidentiality integrity and availability while promoting productivity gains and enhanced cybersecurity detection and response capabilities. Operational duties will include collaborating with peer engineers on other teams to architect and implement cloud security solutions that safeguard against networkbased threats and vulnerabilities. A successful candidate will take the lead during production systems outages to quickly triage and troubleshoot technical issues and to help resolve incidents while limiting the impact of outages and containing security risks.

Job Expectations:

As a subject matter expert a successful candidate will be responsible for designing testing implementing supporting and maintaining various cybersecurity tools that protect Clients hybrid and multicloud environments.

Collaborate with Cybersecurity Risk Enterprise Architecture and Security Architects to brainstorm design and modernize existing integrations of our suite of cybersecurity tools and ensure confidentiality integrity and availability.

Serve as security subject matter expert in triaging investigating troubleshooting and remediating assumed/potential/actual security incidents.

Participate in Red/Blue/Purple team tabletop exercises as needed to help improve the security posture of Fairview Health Services.

Lead complex cybersecurity projects that promote cybersecurity regulatory compliance infrastructure modernization and operational excellence while maintaining the integrity of cybersecurity tools technologies and processes.

Proactively seek opportunities to improve knowledge and technical expertise in multiple Cybersecurity areas.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement efficiency gains and innovative thinking. Adapt and embrace change and demonstrate flexibility in taking up and fulfilling other duties as assigned.

Coach and mentor other team members as required.
