We are looking for an exceptional individual to join ExoMatter as Cloud Architect/Dev Ops Engineer (m/w/d). In this role you will join our development team to help build a scalable architecture for scientific computations from scratch and be in charge of managing our server infrastructure. You will also shape the future architecture of our software solution.

ExoMatter is a spinoff of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and part of the UnternehmerTUM family of startups. We have a first product on the market with paying customers like Audi and Airbus and a strong upward trajectory.

The mission is to challenge the status quo of materials development to reduce the worldwide ecological footprint and increase innovation speed.

Tasks

• Construct and refine a scalable web infrastructure facilitating robust computing operations seamless integrations and efficient CI/CD processes
• You will take architectural decisions together with our Leadership Team
• Facilitate the evolution of our team by working closely with both external and internal developers guiding the transition to a fully inhouse development team
• You will occasionally collaborate with researchers in academic projects and support implementations with our customers

Requirements

• Should have had Startup experience

• Should be able to cope with Startup culture and be selfresponsible (will be first and only DevOps)

• Should be: optimistic open minded & interested in sustainability

• Must have 3 yrs experience as DevOps (AWS focus)

• Must have experience with CI/CD; Docker & Kubernetes

• Must be able to work 50% per week at their Munich office

• Must have a degree in Computer Science or similar

Location/ Language

• Hybrid in Munich Germany (50% at the office)
