Civil Engineer III

Education: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.

Experience: This position requires 4 to 6 year of relevant experience in civil engineering.

Generally responsible for providing professional engineering services on projects related to analyzing, planning, and designing commercial/industrial sites and various infrastructure and remediation systems, in both greenfield and brownfield applications. This position will devise efficient solutions when necessary and produce computer-aided drawings and specifications reflecting generally accepted best engineering practices in conformance to applicable codes and regulations. As a member of One Team, this position will do its part to serve our Clients Civil Engineering project needs through timely and cost effective deliverables of exceptional quality.

Responsibilities

Apply fundamental calculation, design, and analysis knowledge to engineering tasks and assignments, such as those related to the following project types:

• Commercial and industrial site/development plans


• Erosion and sediment control plans


• Stormwater management and underground pipe design


• Detention pond design


• Water and sewer system design


• Wastewater collection and treatment systems


• Drainage studies and improvements


• Pipeline installation/relocation


• Marine and shoreline applications


• Railroad layout


• Roadway and parking lot design

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid Drivers License


• Steadfast integrity and professional decorum


• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and re-prioritizing as necessary to meet multiple commitments


• Ability to multitask with a focus on achieving timely and correct results


• Attention to detail to ensure complete and precise work

• Ability to produce work that complies with applicable Civil Engineering and Environmental codes and regulations, such as jurisdictional zoning requirements and NPDES


• Working knowledge of Civil engineering and Civil analysis software


• Working knowledge of CAD software


• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, e.g. able to produce complex documents in Microsoft Word; able to use advanced techniques to analyze and manipulate data (such as advanced functions and pivot tables) in Microsoft Excel


• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time


• Ability to walk, possibly on uneven terrain


• Ability to ascend stairs


• Ability to drive to visit Client sites as needed


• Domestic and/or international travel as needed (up to 20%)
