The Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Cofounder who is passionate about leveraging technology to make a positive impact on the news industry. This role is not just about leading the technical direction of the company; its about building a legacy and changing the way news is consumed worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the technical vision and direction of Novly ensuring our products and services are ahead of industry standards.
• Oversee the development and optimization of our News Recommendation System Smart Chat Module and other supporting modules.
• Lead the integration of cuttingedge technologies like LLM (ChatGPT) ensuring our platforms deliver exceptional personalized experiences.
• Manage and expand our technology stack including Python PyTorch HuggingFace FastAPI Flutter and AWS services among others.
• Foster a culture of innovation honesty and commitment within the technical team and the broader organization.
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to shape the strategic direction of Novly and ensure our products align with our mission and values.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading and scaling technology teams ideally within a startup environment.
• Strong technical background with expertise in Python PyTorch HuggingFace FastAPI Flutter Dart and AWS services.
• Demonstrated experience with system architecture and an understanding of both frontend and backend ecosystems.
• Passionate about news and trends in technology AI and personalization algorithms with a keen interest in staying ahead of industry trends.
• Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to inspire motivate and drive innovation within the team.
• Outstanding problemsolving abilities with a strategic mindset and a focus on execution and results.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

Location and Commitment

• This is a remote position with the expectation that the successful candidate will be willing to relocate to our headquarters location in the future.
• While we have a preference for candidates from Scandinavia we are primarily focused on finding the right fit for our team regardless of location.
