Established in 1997 by Chris Howard Softeq employs nearly 300 people and has key locations in Monterrey Mexico Munich Germany Vilnius Lithuania and our headquarters located in Houston Texas. Summary of Position

The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) will be based in Houston TX and will report to our President and COO. The CSO will have the opportunity to lead all sales efforts for the organization globally and will have responsibility for winning opportunities through development of strong relationships at all levels at the customer and partner organizations.

The following priorities are predetermined for this position and will be further discussed with the candidates:

  • Define and execute company sales strategy based on Softeqs overall strategy to drive net new revenue in Services.
  • Examine our sales plan for the remainder of 2024 and lead implementation.
  • Examine all existing processes and practices within the sales organization.
  • Manage the BDM and Account Management functions ensuring alignment with the company positioning and the target business model.
  • Determine target sales organization structure for the business development and account management functions.
  • Hire train and coach members of the sales organization as required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes the sales strategy across the Softeq organization.
  • Works with builds upon and structures the Sales organizations worldwide with an emphasis on setting up a US and European based AM & Business Development organization to support Softeq sales targets.
  • Focus on key market segments design and execute a sales strategy to achieve growth (new business) in Services.
  • Extend existing client relationships.
  • Build an effective sales organization.
  • Manage and scale sales.
  • Provides strategic direction and tactical insights to improve sales force productivity:
  • Set individual team member goals.
  • Provide performance feedback on results including weekly and quarterly performance checkins.
  • Develop and manage an effective sales compensation system.
    • Responsible for the effective usage of our CRM (Hubspot) regarding sales leads and deal pipeline.
    • Effective cross functional collaboration working with Marketing on lead generation and Engineering for proposal development.
    • Works to maintain ongoing communications and provide excellent customer relations.
    • Represents the company at Trade Shows and promotes the product lines and business applications.
    • Participates in general strategy meetings and makes recommendations to enhance offerings and enhancements to clients.
    • Collaborate with our President and CEO to develop and execute the organizations strategic plan goals and objectives.
    • Present Softeqs vision mission and strategy to a larger audience including trade events industry forums and client meetings.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 15 years of executive sales management experience preferably in the Technology industry selling Services.
    • Proven track record of success selling bespoke Enterprise Software and/or Technology solutions in Services industry.
    • Excellent sales and sales management skills in order to grow the business as well as build and manage an effective sales team.
    • Proven track record leading and growing a sales organization.
    • Experience managing the sales function of a services organization
    • Experience in managing international and worldwide sales groups.
    • Ability to sell full stack development and enterprise software development capabilities.
    • Must have experience setting up business development/or account management functions.
    • Must have demonstrated success operating in a goaloriented highly accountable sales environment within diverse company structures.
    • Executive level strategy communication and presentation skills are required.
    • Highly organized detail oriented patient customer oriented analytical strategic mature have a global mindset and knowledge of industry protocol.
    • Must possess executive presence and the ability to liaise with analysts and the media.
    • Ability to prioritize company objectives and meet aggressive deadlines and to provide outstanding team leadership and development with outstanding communication skills.
    • International Travel Required 40% of Calendar Year

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing field preferred.
