SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Chief Quality Officer will oversee and support all Quality Supply Chain and Facilities operations across the company s operating locations while setting goals and performance objectives. The CQO is accountable for creating as well as executing Quality Control and management methods and systems throughout the company. More specifically the CQO is accountable for monitoring that the services and products of a company meet the standard to the customer s satisfaction and are errorfree. This position has direct management reports from multiple sites. This position will require intermittent travel between company sites.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develops Quality Assurance plans by identifying critical control points and preventive measures establishing critical limits monitoring procedures corrective actions and verification procedures.
  • Meets Quality Assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good validating processes providing auditable documentation and managing employee quality performance.
  • Provide guidance in M&A activity to continue company growth within the Medical Device sector.
  • Plan and prioritize customer employee and manufacturing requirements and implement such plans.
  • Provide coaching mentoring and performance feedback to lead employees to encourage maximum performance dedication and retention.
  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company s performance goals.
  • Develop successful and strategic senior relationships with key customers and partners working closely to identify and qualify new market and business opportunities.
  • Promote the Core Values of the company and participate in shaping longterm vision and strategy.
  • Report frequently on the status of Quality Operations activities to the Senior Management Team.
  • Interviews selects and hires qualified individuals for key management positions.


Requirements

Education:
  • B.S. degree required; MBA is Preferred
  • 7 years of successful senior operations management experience in a large multisite Medical Device Manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with Lean manufacturing initiatives in fullscale manufacturing environments. Certifications are a plus.
  • Handson resultsoriented leader with a proven track record of successfully developing people and teams to their fullest potential.
  • A sense of urgency in driving projects and desire to set ambitious goals and work aggressively to meet project schedules utilizing the latest project management tools and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Working knowledge of Inventory Cost Accounting and P&L
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Excel
  • High degree of initiative creativity and problemsolving ability.
  • Proven effectiveness in leading and managing others.
  • Experience in manufacturing systems development and deployment.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit talk and/or hear and/or use hands to finger handle or touch objects tools or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand and/or walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while moving tooling fixtures equipment and/or small packages. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Extensive experience with Lean manufacturing initiatives in full-scale manufacturing environments.
