We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated CDP or Sous Chef for a client of ours based in Hayle Cornwall.

Our client is a rehabilitation centre that requires a CDP or Sous chef on a temp basis. The start date for this position is Monday 22nd January and is for 1 week only to cover holidays.

The role is MondayFriday 09:0017:00.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan prepare and serve nutritious and appealing meals.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to all food safety regulations.
  • Manage food inventory ordering and stock control.
  • Collaborate with the catering service provider to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CDP or above.
  • Culinary qualifications and relevant certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
  • Creativity in menu planning and meal preparation.
  • A passion for delivering highquality meals.

Job Types: Fulltime Temporary contract

Contract length: 1 week

Salary: 15.50 19.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • CDP/Sous: 4 years (required)


A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role in a quality fine dining establishment Knowledge of front of house, restaurant, bar, and cellar operations Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Knowledge of food and beverage trends, and the ability to make recommendations based on customer preferences
