Description:

We are seeking a collaborative and resultsdriven professional to fill the role of Indirect Category Manager/Strategic Sourcing Manager within our Global Procurement Team. As a crucial member of the Global Indirect Procurement Team you will collaborate with Category Managers and stakeholders to develop and implement services benchmarks and procurement solutions aimed at driving spending efficiency and savings.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement you will actively lead and support various indirect sourcing projects managing key steps such as strategy implementation supplier negotiations award recommendations business case presentations and supplier contract execution utilizing ARIBA. This position involves close collaboration with team members support departments and stakeholders across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage strategic sourcing activities across diverse Indirect Sourcing categories including Commercial Marketing Corporate Services R&D and Information Technology.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements build the portfolio of Indirect sourcing projects and develop category strategies aligned with stakeholder needs and business goals.
• Identify processes metrics and tools to optimize procurement activities for effective and timely implementation.
• Achieve annual savings while ensuring the best quality and service from service providers.
• Understand internal and external market factors integrating them into the category strategy.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure bestinclass total cost product and service quality continuity of goods and services and alignment with internal stakeholders and company strategy.
• Manage supplier performance by establishing and stewarding appropriate Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Prepare monthly progress reports detailing key initiatives achieved/forecasted savings cost metrics and variances versus plan.

Professional Experience:

• Possess 3 years of procurement/sourcing or consulting experience within a global pharmaceutical or life sciences organization with preferred expertise in Indirect sourcing categories. R&D sourcing experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in category management and multistep strategic sourcing processes with results measured in Total Cost of Ownership.

Education Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors Degree is required with a Masters degree in business finance or supply chain/procurement considered a plus.
• Proven track record of building relationships with stakeholders resulting in high customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrated ability to work creatively and analytically in a problemsolving environment.
• Proven ability to effectively lead formal strategic sourcing efforts related to designated categories.
• Ability to work independently interfacing with internal stakeholders and suppliers through strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management negotiation and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
