First a little more about us. We are Deep Indian Kitchen®. You may have seen us in the frozen aisles of 20000 natural and conventional grocery mass club and drug stores or been to our chain of 3 fastcasual restaurants in NYC and NJ. Or if you shop at Indian grocery stores you know our parent company Deep Foods Inc. as your trusted manufacturer and brand with over 800 SKUs. Our brand is on fire now but it hasn’t been long since late 2019 when we began a turnaround and rebrand of our Tandoor Chef® frozen brand and Indikitch® restaurants to Deep Indian Kitchen®. Our differentiated approach and products have made us the #1 fastest selling natural frozen entrees brand in America with rapid household penetration growth over 181K followers on Instagram and TikTok…we could go on. And we know it’s cliché to say “we’re just getting started” but we don’t know of any other aspiring ‘platform brand’ that gets to pick and choose from an 800 SKU innovation pipeline.

Deep Indian Kitchen’s parent company Deep Foods was founded by the Amin family matriarch Bhagwati Amin and is now owned and operated by three generations of the Amin family. In late 2019 Deep Foods launched the Deep Indian Kitchen brand which includes a line of frozen foods and four NYC / NJbased Fast Casual Restaurants to elevate and expand access to Indian food in mainstream America. It has become one of the fastestgrowing frozen food brands in the U.S. and the #1 Indian brand on social media with its delicious authentic alwaysmadefromscratch frozen meals and appetizers.

Deep Foods is the leader in Indian cuisine in North America with operations in the US Canada India and Australia and makes frozen meals breads and appetizers as well as snacks beverages dairy and pantry essentials. What You Will Do

We are seeking a Category Analyst to build compelling selling stories for customers and internal teams. This role will support our sales team with regular reporting and analysis. In addition to managing syndicated data sources this role will proactively look for unique insights and new datadriven ‘nuggets’ to help shape our strategies and selling stories.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the sales team in developing datadriven narratives and building retailer presentations.
  • Develop category and retail channel expertise and lead conversations with the commercial organization to aid in the decisionmaking process; provide recommendations derived from data analytics and research.
  • Bring a confident voice and ability to lead and perform category deep dives share key learnings identify opportunities and make strategic recommendations.
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to create overarching categoryfocused analysis & presentations to leverage with our customers.
  • Prepare bestinclass reports & insightsdriven presentations for both internal teams and external retailer partners integrating relevant data into a cohesive output that summarizes key learnings and provides actionable recommendations.
  • Support the development of internal reporting dashboards (ex. PowerBI)
  • Ensure that we properly communicate data from syndicated platforms to necessary crossfunctional teams clearly and concisely.
  • Assist in managing our relationship with the syndicated data sources (SPINS/IRI/Nielsen) ensuring seamless monthly delivery of accurate data and efficient use of resources.
  • Actively contribute to Deep Indian Kitchen team culture
  • Help create and foster a culture of datadriven decisionmaking educating the organization on data capabilities tools and interpretation.
  • Strong communication skills ability to build interpersonal relationships and the capacity to sit comfortably with ambiguity.
  • A curiosity and desire to not only solve problems but find them

Who You Are

Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA degree in a related field (data analytics business or marketing) or equivalent work experience.
  • 24 years of experience within the CPG industry with exposure to category management sales product management and consumer insights.
  • Experience working with syndicated data (such as Nielsen IRI SPINS etc.) and/or leveraging research from secondary data sources.
  • A passion and understanding of how to leverage data to create a story that communicates a compelling narrative.
  • Highly motivated energetic and selfstarter with demonstrated ability to work crossfunctionally.
  • Experience or interest in data visualization or building sales dashboards (PowerBI).
  • Ability to motivate prioritize and organize within an ambiguous context that’s subject to change.
  • Travel requirement for quarterly inperson team meetings (10% travel expectations)
