Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Camera Test Engineer with a background in imaging systems to join our Core Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess handson experience in camera hardware testing image processing and optical evaluation. This role requires expertise in building and optimizing test setups developing automation scripts and conducting indepth analysis of imaging data.candidate with a deep understanding of camera testing fundamentals including camera module components image quality metrics sensor settings and lighting. The successful candidate will be responsible for proposing test metrics improving test setups and implementing algorithms for test metrics using MATLAB Python or C.

Responsibilities:

• Perform image capture using test setups and testers including calibration and operation of imaging equipment such as spectrometers radiometers and integration spheres.
• Build custom setups according to project requirements sourcing necessary parts and components with a strong familiarity with optical imaging building blocks.
• Control test setups using automation scripts and participate in project development in a test engineering capacity.
• Conduct data analysis and image processing including feature detection and image analysis using Python or MATLAB with proficiency in tools like JMP.
• Develop scripts for GUI tools to facilitate testing procedures.

Skills:

• Proficiency in utilizing camera test and laboratory tools and equipment with the ability to independently design test setups.
• Strong skills in image processing and analysis including the development and implementation of test metric algorithms using MATLAB Python or C.
• Competence in operating laboratory systems lab automation and data collection with familiarity with Android/Adb as a plus.
• Knowledgeable about sensors and optics along with their evaluation methodologies.
• Ability to deliver presentations using JMP or Excel with excellent communication skills.
• Selfmotivated persuasive and analytical individual.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Photography Imaging Science Color Science Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Optical Engineering or related field.
• Over 2 years of experience in image and video quality testing metrics and evaluation methods for benchmarking or characterizing cameras.
• Proficiency in evaluating camera optical/sensing systems image processing techniques and ISP blocks for mobile camera products.
• Handson experience in implementing creating and debugging image quality test infrastructure including hardware software automation and optomechanical components.
• Expertise in optical system design sensor technology imaging algorithms camera ISP and computational photography features.
