CAD Designer

• Use software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs for complex projects.
• Collaborate with others to establish timelines and budgets as well as solve problems.
• Knowledge of industry engineering math and materials.
• Ability to analyze data and situation and come up with creative solutions.
• Keep up to date on industry and engineering standards.
• Attend preliminary meetings with the client to understand the project specifications and scope
• Work with technical team members to establish a timeline and budget for the design
• Use design software to produce 2D and/or 3D designs depending on the complexity of the project
• Research material properties in large databases to identify the best materials for modeling
• Perform simulations and stress tests on all 3D models before prototyping
• Notify superintendents and project managers of the design s progress and when the designs are complete
• Get feedback from the client and project managers and revise designs as needed

• An associate s degree or equivalent experience.
• Sit for extended periods of time.
• Use of hands to operate computers.
• Extensive knowledge of the company s preferred software Solidworks catia & Autocad.
• Make decisions based on designs & drafting.
• Strong communication skills & calculations.
• Ability to collaborate with others to solve problems.
• Firm grasp of mathematics engineering and industry information.
• Some travel may be required.
