POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Manager and the immediate supervision of the Lead Technologist performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. Assumes responsibility for designated areas as assigned. Performs a variety of Nuclear Medicine procedures that will require independent judgment. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist supports and contributes to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center and the Nuclear Medicine Department. EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:Minimum: California State Certification in Nuclear Medicine Desired: Two years experience in Nuclear Medicine in an acutecare setting. LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: California State Certification in Nuclear Medicine required effective 1989. Current approved CPR certification. SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of human structure and function patient care principles of radiopharmaceuticals quality assurance radiation physics radiation protection radiobiology and specialized techniques as required for a Nuclear Medicine technologist. Must be intelligent and self motivated. Excellent communication skills and problem solving ability are required. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. PATIENTS SERVED: This position is responsible for agerelated physiological emotional and cognitive needs of the following age groups of patients: Pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric.
