Business Intelligence Analytics Analist

Dark Light specializes in staffing data & BI projects. For one of our clients we are looking for a Business Intelligence & Analytics Analyst.

The team consists of 30 colleagues taking up roles in multiple data disciplines (data analysis data visualization data engineering). They are working in an international context mainly focussed on our headquarters in Belgium.

The team is organized into multiple squad teams to be able to support the different business domains in providing them relevant and valuable insights from data through reports and data analyses. We inspire and support business domains to become more data literate and use data as a valuable tool in their business strategy.
As a Business Intelligence & Analytics Analyst youll play a crucial role in delivering actionable insights to support our business domains. Youll work closely with crossfunctional squad teams to analyze business requirements identify relevant data sources and develop powerful visualizations that drive informed decisionmaking.

Tasks

• Assess business reporting needs for assigned departments.
• Analyze data availability and plan reporting implementation.
• Collaborate to develop accurate and userfriendly data products.
• Create visually compelling data representations in Tableau.
• Train end users on tool implementation and data interpretation.
• Demonstrate best practices through complete dashboard implementations.
• Continuously optimize reporting tools to meet evolving business needs.
• Facilitate determination and development of relevant KPIs for optimization.
• Develop detailed specifications and documentation for tool delivery.
• Optionally contribute to Tableau technical administration.
• Stay updated on industry trends for enhanced service credibility.

Requirements

• Master diploma in IT applied economics (or other business oriented degree) or equivalent by experience
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• You need to be proficient in both Dutch and English language
• Experience working with Data Visualization tools esp. Tableau.
• Experience in gathering and translating enduser requirements into effective & efficient dashboards.
• Experience with Data Analysis using SQL viz tool Python
• Project experience in a cloudbased environment Google Cloud Platform is a plus
• Strong communicative skills (both oral and written) and ability to adapt his/her style depending on the situation
