What we are looking for

  • Be a hungry high agency and high energy sales lead in Kenya to spearhead our market entry.
  • Experience leading and closing deals from originations through to deal close.
  • Have experience working in an earlystage startup company in finance or technology.
  • Experience in b2b sales seeking and targeting key businesses that meet critical requirements to maximize deal closure.
  • A proven and numerically demonstrable track record of building businesses and closing deals.
  • An individual who is keen hungry and motivated. Happy to get their hands dirty be agile and iterate to help form our strategy for Kenya.
  • An open and honest individual who believes strongly in integrity and transparency.
  • Report to the Head of Trade Finance working on a daily basis with the cofounders and wider team.
  • Be able to manage a network of introducers trade bodies and other partners to maintain a constant deal flow and fuel growth.
  • Be versatile charismatic relentless and know how to push the conversation forward.


What does the job involve

  • Spearhead the companys market entry into South Africawith a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
    • Lead and close deals from the initial origination stage to the final deal closure.
    • Utilize experience working in earlystage startup companies particularly in the finance or technology sectors.
    • Engage in businesstobusiness (B2B) sales activities with a focus on identifying and targeting key businesses that align with critical requirements to maximize deal closure.
    • Report to the Head of Trade Finance and work closely with the cofounders and the wider team on a daily basis.


Qualifications

  • 5 years in b2b sales and experience in selling to agricultural exporters.
  • Proven track record closing deals
  • Proven track record of promotions / career progression
  • Happy with working with an international team.
  • Comfortable with frequent domestic travel around South Africa.
  • Comfortable with occasional international travel outside of South Africa .
  • You have worked in agrifoods or soft commodities
  • You have sold financial / lending products before.
  • You have an understanding of trade finance.
  • You can demonstrate your high agency through an entrepreneurial skill set
