PMC clients include such luminaries as Stevie Wonder, Calvin Harris, Kraftwerk, Elbow and the BBC, Apple, Google, Capitol Studios LA, Netflix, Dolby, and many more?

PMC is considered the leading authority in sound reproduction worldwide, across both Professional and Consumer markets and is now seeking a dynamic business development manager for the EMEA region in the Home Audio and Custom Installation sector.

Tasks

Purpose of the Role

Develop and maximise Home Audio export markets, to increase sales and brand awareness for PMC with an emphasis on Ci, with a view to achieving and exceeding the sales budget which is set on a yearly basis in advance. The ideal candidate will be located within the EU, however UK candidates with the appropriate experience will be considered. The role will be carried out from your home office. However, there will be significant travel into the agreed territories, regular visits to our head office in Biggleswade, England, in addition to attendance at EMEA and UK shows as required.

Responsibilities

  • Grow PMC turnover in the EMEA territory and achieve the targets set.
  • Position the brand accordingly with appropriate distributors within the designated markets and make PMC the primary focus for each distributor.
  • Establish and execute a marketing strategy for each EMEA market in Home Audio including HiFi and Ci on a yearly basis, and to cover specific new model launches when required.
  • Agree with each Distributor yearly sales targets and ensure that the distributor has all the necessary support and tools to achieve this figure.
  • Manage existing accounts by making regular market visits to ensure strong relationships are maintained with PMC UK.
  • Through product training, ensure all distributors and their staff have a full understanding of PMC as a company and all the products, covering the philosophy of the brand and the technology and all product ranges in both Pro and Consumer sectors.
  • Obtain local market information, forecast and analyse budgets within each market to establish areas of opportunity for future product development and sales growth. Look for new market opportunities in other territories.
  • Attend EMEA and UK shows and events in support of marketing team.

Requirements

  • Have experience in export sales in both Home Audio and Custom Installation Audio markets is required.
  • Must be a strong team player and share information and initiatives with the rest of the sales and marketing team that will benefit other markets.
  • Experience in finding new distributors and sales opportunities in territories not currently covered.
  • Experience of managing sales budgets and marketing plans with the understanding of how to deliver both.
  • Be entrepreneurial in their thinking and have a strong solutions/actions drive and ability.
  • Have the ability to engage well with others, in any country, and across any cultural differences.
  • Be highly motivated, outgoing, and have a strong track record of success in export sales/product support.
  • Be confident at presenting to all levels, to individuals or larger groups.
  • The candidate shall be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate in English both written and spoken word to a very high standard.
  • Ability to communicate in other languages is a bonus.
  • Overseas travel is expected and essential for visiting markets and attending seasonal trade shows (UK & Overseas). Weekend working will be required from time to time to service this requirement.
