Title: Business Analyst/QA (Remote)
Duration: 12 plus months
Location: Remote
Description
The QA Business Analyst acts as a bridge translating business objectives into actionable requirements for the IT team understands the connectivity between the requirements and user test cases and looks at it from the role and scope of QA.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with stakeholders to gather detailed business requirements. Use these requirements to serve as the foundation for designing and implementing QA processes.
- Identify evaluate and document business needs and objectives operational processes and procedures problems and requirements. Perform requirements elicitation/documentation/management as well as use case documentation to assist developers in the creation of solutions to meet business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a requirements traceability matrix to help track the progress of the project and identify any issues or areas for improvement.
- Leverage understanding to document meaningful user acceptance criteria for user stories. Use Visio to document processes and procedures related to Business Analysis and Quality Assurance standards including opportunities for improvement.
- Develop test plans/scenarios/cases/scripts to ensure appropriate test coverage. Provide directions to developers to implement solutions per requirements. Execute testing based upon documented test cases/scripts and ensure applications tested meet customerdefined business requirements per documented user acceptance criteria.
- Conduct user acceptance testing with end users to ensure the implemented solution meets expectations.
- Document and track software defects as well as issues with performance and usability.
Qualifications:
- Overall experience of 8 years with a minimum of 5 years in Business Analysis and at least 2 years in quality assurance. Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing
- Experience in developing business functional and user requirements for IT systems Knowledge of business analysis processes principles practices and techniques.
- Experience writing SQL queries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.
- Knowledge/experience with Salesforce preferred.
Education
- Bachelors degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
