We have an exciting brand-new opportunity for a Business Administration Apprentice to join our fast paced and fun People team at Ground Control.

This role will be split across our Talent and Learning and Development teams so you will get exposure to all aspects of recruitment and training as well as all you need to know about working in an office environment. We will support you every step of the way with your studies spending up to 20% of your week completing your Level 3 Business Admin course.

Day to day we will get you involved in many aspects of HR including;

  • New starter onboarding including chasing up references and payroll information
  • Managing the Talent email inbox
  • Updating recruitment trackers and new starter logs
  • Booking training courses
  • Updating learner records
  • Working with suppliers and raising PO s
  • Dealing with to our operational and office teams to assist them with ad queries re learning and recruitment

You ll be part of a large HR team as well as building your organisational, communication, planning and relationship building skills in this role and have responsibility for helping new people join our business.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for fast learner with a curious mindset who has a genuine interest in learning key admin skills in an HR environment. This is a busy but fun and close knit department so everyone s efforts are important to the overall success of team. You ll have to show a strong team ethic focusing on fantastic customer service every day as well as being able to maintain high enthusiasm at all times. You ll get a buddy and lots of support and your manager will work with you each day to help you as you become competent in the role.

You ll need to love being organised and get a kick out of ticking things off your to do list. You ll need to have strong computer skills including Excel & Outlook to help with this. We can help you with this too.

This role will be a hybrid role spending 1 to 2 days a week in our office in Billericay and then the rest of the week working from home partnering with the team on video calls. These days can flex with the needs of the business. We will support you with your studies but you must be highly self-motivated as you will need to complete this at the same time as your busy role.
