About the Client:

Kousa International is one of the world s largest traders of paper products trading more than 200000 tons of paper products annually including recovered paper and prime paper. The company is also a global supplier of steel tubular towers to most of the major wind turbine manufacturers in the world.


Job Summary:

The Accountant will provide administrative support to the Director of Operations Managing Partners and Property Management Team on various corporate services such as but not limited to Property Management operations bookkeeping office administration and other functional areas as assigned. Will support programs and solutions by carrying out various administrative support for all functional areas of the company under the immediate direction of the Director of Operations.


Responsibilities:
  • Provides administrative support under the direction of the Managing Partners Director of Operations to assist with full cycle bookkeeping responsibilities IT Vendor Management with various corporate services and other areas as needed. Weekly
  • Assists as needed with IT and/or Internet Management updates as needed such as but not limited to Voyager QuickBooks Excel software updates and will help with password resets and new employee set ups. Varies
  • Organizes and maintains operational activities such as meetings property activities filing systems mail and responds to requests by the leadership and management team timely. Acts as a liaison for various departments handles confidential and nonroutine information. Coordinates administrative activities for the corporate office. Daily
  • Full cycle bookkeeper including processing payables and cutting checks preparing financial statements including bank reconciliations reviews invoices for accuracy and double payments enter monthend activity into property management software (Yardi). Daily
  • Maintains all applicant and employee documentation in compliance with local state and federal law including managing and tracking personnel action items employee database and employee files if needed. Varies
  • Responds to personnel inquiries such as but not limited to employment verifications and unemployment notices. Varies
  • Prepares job postings screens resumes if needed. Varies
  • Assists with COBRA compliance and benefits administration. Varies
  • New Hire set up and orientation. Processes all new hire paperwork new hire steps and terminations paperwork. Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company if needed. Varies
  • Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions. Daily
  • Entering payroll information into ADP if needed. Monthly


Requirements


Minimum Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years bookkeeping experience at Real Estate management firm
  • Strong working knowledge of Yardi and Quickbooks
  • Strong working knowledge of financial statements including balance sheets income statements and general ledgers
  • High proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel Word)
  • Must have Fiber Optic internet with at least 25 Mbps bandwidth
  • Must have a backup desktop or laptop with the latest OS
  • Must be able to work from 12AM9AM
