Bonds Trading Platform Java Developer - Hybrid

Client needs someone who has 2 years of Trading development experience and 10 years of Java development experience that is able to work onsite in Charlotte NC 3x a week. The candidate MUST be on direct w2.

Candidates MUST be able to speak to the business side of trading and fully understand the vocabulary so they can start having conversations on day one with the traders they will be working with. This is essential as they will be gathering requirements and getting feedback directly from the traders and they are not able to scale them up on this. They must understand Trading Equities Bonds FIX ECN Treasuries Fixed Income

Candidates must also be VERY technical as a senior developer and able to develop using CORE Java SQL Memory Fabric technology (i.e Hazelcast Ignite etc.) Coherence Groovy Jenkins Spring Kubernetes Docker etc.)

Resumes must CLEARLY indicate what the candidates are/were doing development wise with Trading platforms. The manager does not just want to see a bunch of keyword technologies thrown on a resume but wants to clearly see what type of a project they were working on and what the project is about and what they were trying to accomplish.

This is a pure contributor/development position

Work on a custom trading platform (bond yields)

They will be moving to Municipal bonds

They need someone to help them build out the UI (Eclipse RCP)

They make markets in dozens of venues on a custom endtoend platform

This person will be sitting beside traders so the MUST be able to speak in the same vocabulary (BWIC OWIC Equities Run on Orders Municipal Bonds Corporate Bonds Fixed Income Bond Fundamentals DB01 Volatility

Yields Treasuries

Requirements:

2 years of Trading experience and developing applications built on trading platforms

Deep Java skills (currently using Java 21) and must have strong core java skills

Spring / Spring Boot (use minimally)

Memory Fabric experience (i.e. Hazelcast or Ignite etc.)

SQL

Kubernetes
Docker

FIX protocol (what is it how is it used how do you configure and write transformers via quick fix)

Messaging such as JMS or MQ or RabbitMQ or any other messaging technology

Nice to Have:

Eclipse RCP

AWS (experience deploying to this)

TCP/IP network protocols

Multicast experience
