Description:
Position Description:
Up to 6month contract with work in Indiana up to 2 weeks per month. Collaborate and troubleshoot recombinant protein expression from baculovirus infected insect cells and process transfer from one manufacturing site to another in Indiana. Guidance on best practices and help with scaleup from 1L shaker flask scale to bioreactor scale. Output of the cell culture process will be highly purified proteins that will be used in downstream diagnostics products. Can provide guidance on quality criteria for the BEVS process related to inprocess activities that increase yield and stabilize product recovery. Can guide on maintaining recombinant virus integrity amplification titering etc. Work with an onsite team that will draft and execute validation protocols as necessary.
Purpose: Achieve a reproducible validated process of manufacturing recombinant protein at scale in the new facility.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree (MS or PhD)
5 yrs handson experience in industry with BEVS manufacturing recombinant proteins
2 yrs handson experience with Cytivas WAVE bioreactor
A working understanding of GMP requirements and sterile techniques
5 yrs experience development of cell culture process from virus development through small scale flasks up to bioreactor scale
