The Billing Clerk is responsible for efficiently closing and invoicing service work orders performing data entry and utilizing DBS and SIS (DOSbased systems). The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills meticulous attention to detail and relevant experience in invoicing and billing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Close and Invoice Service Work Orders:
    • Review completed service work orders for accuracy and completeness.
    • Verify that all services and products provided are correctly documented.
    • Generate and process invoices for services rendered.
  2. Data Entry:
    • Accurately enter and update customer and transaction data into the companys billing systems.
    • Maintain organized records of invoices and customer information.
  3. Use DBS and SIS (DOSBased Systems):
    • Proficiently operate DBS and SIS (DOSbased systems) to access and manage billing information.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any systemrelated issues as needed.
  4. Strong Organizational Skills:
    • Maintain a wellorganized work environment.
    • Ensure documents and records are filed appropriately for easy retrieval.
  5. Attention to Detail:
    • Scrutinize invoices and data for accuracy rectifying any discrepancies.
    • Verify that all work orders are closed correctly and timely.
  6. Experience with Invoicing and Billing:
    • Utilize previous experience in invoicing and billing processes to ensure efficient and errorfree transactions.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in billing invoicing or a related field.
  • Familiarity with DBS and SIS (DOSbased systems) is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours:

  • This is a fulltime contract position with working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Compensation:

  • The pay for this position is between $18 to $22 per hour depending on the skill and experience of the temporary candidate.

Note: This is a contract position for 8 weeks.



KNOWLEDGE OF: Strong experience with IT budgets, operations, contracts and vendor management required. Strong project management skills required. Experience with project requirements, issue and risk management best practices Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) framework, or other project management methodology preferred. Strong understanding of process management/process improvement methodologies SKILLS: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smart sheet or other Project Management tool set, as well as core Microsoft Office products including Visio and PowerPoint Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work with diverse personality types. Must be "self-motivated" and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks. Must be collaborative in driving decisions. Must be able to provide "hands-on" value. Some familiarity with Agile application development and SCRUM concepts ABILITY TO: Effectively document and communicate project status regularly to Connecticut Children's leadership and key stakeholders. Communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals, including patients/families, hospital Administrative staff, IS staff, clinicians and external contacts, and vendors. Lead cross-functional project teams in implementing projects of significantly complex nature and within budget. Identify issues and problems, develop contingency plans and provide recommended solutions utilizing basic continuous improvement methodology.
