BI Engineer

Title: Business Intelligence Consultant

Location: Hyderabad

Exp. Level: 4 to 10 years

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis: Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends patterns and insights that can drive informed business decisions.

Dashboard Development: Design and create interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI) to visualize data and provide actionable information to stakeholders.

Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models ensuring data accuracy integrity and consistency. Implement data warehousing solutions where necessary.

ETL (Extract Transform Load): Create and manage ETL processes to extract data from various sources transform it into usable formats and load it into data warehouses or databases.

Query Optimization: Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval analysis and reporting ensuring efficient database performance.

Business Insights: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable insights and reports.

Automation: Identify opportunities for automating routine data tasks and processes improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention.

Data Visualization: Design visually appealing and userfriendly data visualizations that communicate complex information effectively.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor and maintain the performance of BI systems troubleshoot issues and proactively address data quality concerns.

Documentation: Maintain documentation for data processes data dictionaries and reporting guidelines to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance policies and best practices to ensure data accuracy security and compliance with regulations.

Collaboration: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including data engineers data scientists and business analysts to deliver datadriven solutions.

Qualifications

A degree (preferably an advanced degree) in Computer Science Engineering or a related field

Experience in architecting and developing data visualization solutions preferably in a production operation.

Background with BI tools and systems such as Power BI Tableau

Strong programming experience in production environments using SQL.

Experienced in Azure ecosystem Understanding of the Microsoft BI Stack preferably Synapse.

Prior experience in datarelated tasks

Mastery in data analytics

Should be proficient in software development.

Be familiar with MS SQL Server BI Stack tools and technologies such as TSQL Power Query MDX PowerBI and DAX

Analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics.

Capable of enabling rowlevel data security with knowledge of Power BI application security layer models

Proficient in doing advancedlevel computations on the data set.

Excellent communication skills are required to communicate needs with clients and internal teams successfully.
