Bending Operator

1. Setting up and operating bending machines to bend metal workpieces according to specifications.
2. Reading and interpreting blueprints drawings and job orders to determine setups and sequences of operations.
3. Selecting aligning and securing holding fixtures attachments and materials on machines.
4. Observing machine operations to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions adjusting machine controls as necessary.
5. Checking workpieces to ensure conformance with specifications using precision measuring instruments.
6. Monitoring machine operations and production to ensure the production schedule is met.
7. Inspecting and measuring workpieces to verify accuracy of machine settings and to ensure conformance to specifications.
8. Performing routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
9. Adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
