Battery Thermal Runaway Engineer Seniornon-Senior fmd

Akkuracy is working on becoming Germanys leader in understanding battery safety. We do not want to be the next highthroughput test lab but rather excel at highquality cell and smallscale testing to maximise understanding of the cell. To achieve this we conduct regular abuse tests as well as specialised calorimetry tests in our purposebuilt setup.
Right now we are growing our team and are looking for you to join us! As part of Akkuracy you will work in a dynamic and friendly environment where you ensure that tests run on time and in quality. Your tasks will include running tests and analysing data as well as being part of setting up the lab infrastructure as the team grows in the coming months.
At this stage we are very flexible with regards to the exact details of this role as we have several positions we want to fill!

Tasks

• You develop prepare and maintain thermal runaway tests rigs for conventional bunker tests as well as calorimetry experiments (measurement of a battery explosions energy)
• You perform testing (regular and calorimetry) of customer batteries including planning with the customer set up in the test rig and test execution
• You analyse data from tests write reports and develop the tools to make report generation faster and more efficient
• You are part of setting up our laboratory and assist with adhoc tasks that come up in a young company

Requirements

• BSc MSc or PhD in engineering or science or a technical background with at least two years of relevant work experience
• Previous experience with battery safety testing and battery lab environments
• Interest in battery technology and motivation to work handson
• Ability to communicate well in English or German

We are looking for amazing engineers! As a result our application process has several stages. After your application you will receive a short technical test. If the test is successful it will be followed by an invitation for a remote interview. If this is successful as well you will be invited to visit Akkuracy to get to know one another and have a final interview.
