Roles and responsbilities:
  1. Sales and Marketing:

    • Actively seek out new business opportunities and clients for banquet services.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
    • Create and maintain relationships with corporate clients event planners and other potential customers.
    • Utilize marketing tools to promote banquet facilities and services.
  2. Client Relationship Management:

    • Understand the needs and preferences of clients to provide personalized service.
    • Collaborate with clients to plan and execute events according to their specifications.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and handle any concerns or issues.
  3. Event Coordination:

    • Work closely with other departments such as catering operations and housekeeping to ensure seamless event execution.
    • Coordinate logistics including room setup audiovisual requirements and catering services.
    • Create detailed event contracts and proposals.
  4. Communication:

    • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the planning process.
    • Provide clients with regular updates on event progress and address any concerns promptly.
  5. Negotiation and Pricing:

    • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with clients to achieve a winwin situation.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor pricing to remain competitive.
  6. Financial Management:

    • Prepare and manage budgets for events ensuring profitability for the venue.
    • Track and report on sales performance and revenue goals.
  7. Networking:

    • Attend industry events trade shows and conferences to build a network and generate leads.
    • Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to foster partnerships and referrals.
  8. Knowledge of Venue:

    • Have a thorough understanding of the banquet facilities capacities and capabilities.
    • Be knowledgeable about available technology audiovisual equipment and other amenities.
  9. Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and organized records of client interactions contracts and event details.
  10. Problem Solving:

    • Quickly address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during an event.
