Good knowledge on Backup Technologies Veritas Backup Admin
Primary Skills
- Expertise in building resilient high performance SAN and backup solution
- Familiarity with Virtual Tape Library and Data Deduplication technologies
- NetBackup installation configuration maintenance and disaster recovery
- Configuring backup media servers
- Monitoring Troubleshooting backup problems Backup media management
- Exp Daily backup Jobs monitoring & updating the Daily Checklist Netbackup client installation (Backup commissioning)
Normal File system /VM snapshot backup preparation
Data Restoration Requests
Network Backup
VM Snapshot Restoration
Manual SAR cycle operation
FS Mounting /Unmounting / DG Import / Deport for BCV Based Backup
- Required Skills**:
Basic understanding about backup tools (Veritas Netbackup) and understanding its process flow (daemons).
Basic knowledge about Server Hardware OS and its config files. Basic knowledge about networking (Master>MediaClient) communication.
Basic knowledge about Backup Provisioning/DeProvisioning as per user requirements. Basic knowledge about virtualization (snapshot level) backups.
- Flexibility to work in shifts for 24x7 supports.
- Coordination with multiple stake holders / Third party Vendors for breakfix.
- Must be able to lead the critical outage calls
- Create the Standard Operating Procedure and update the knowledge database documentation whenever required
- Participate in weekly/ monthly/ customer meeting and provide activities report.
Secondary Skills
- Strong knowledge in ITIL process.
- ITIL Certification
- EMC Networker backup certified
