Back Office Engineer

Tasks:

1. Operational tasks on Oracle Directory server and OpenLDAP

• Stop / Start LDAP server
• Replication tasks (stop start resync ssl)
• Perform LDAP query
• Indexing jobs
• Troubleshooting via access audit error logs
• Backup of running instance
• Restore instance from backup
• Schema updates
• ACI update

2. Infrastructure

• Upgrade LDAP server to new version
• Patch the server
• Install and configure new server
• Support for infrastructure projects (new applications migrations etc)

3. Monitoring

4. Monitor the servers via monitoring tools and scripts

5. Act proactively based on monitoring alerts

6. Scripting

• Write new scripts bash ksh perl or improve current scripts

7. Security

• Perform vulnerability assessments for applications
• Analysis and mitigation of systems related vulnerabilities

8. Administrative tasks

• Create incidents
• Manage incidents/request for service/request for info from the outside world
• Create and lead change management (create tickets procedure documentation)
• Create/update documentation and procedures
• Perform training and coaching to other agents (back office and front office)

Knowledge ans skills

1. Databases (must have)

• Experience with Apache Ignite
• Experience with Derby

2.Integration tools

• Git
• Bamboo
• Nexus

3. Operating systems

• Linux RedHat

4. Middleware

• Oracle Weblogic server
• Tomcat server

5. At least 6 years of experience in UNIX / Oracle infrastructure environments

6. Ability to adapt to changes quickly

7. Good spoken and written knowledge of English and French

8. Punctual meticulous and reliable

9. Analytical and systematic approach to problem solving

10. ITIL foundation certification

11. Extra assets:

• Experience with ticketing systems (Service Now Atlassian Jira)
• Experience with CHANGE and RELEASE Management
• Experience with Sharepoint as user
• Experience with Prince2 / PM methodologies
