Automotive Title Clerk

Responsibilities

• Process all new and used vehicle sales for registration in the state in which the vehicle will be titled including the preparation of tax documents.
• Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles in a timely fashion.
• Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lien holder paid off before processing title applications.
• And verifying accuracy in the applicable legal documents to ensure that all information is accurate and complete.
• Maintain a system to verify outofstate titles.
• Comply and maintain a complete list of all outstanding title work.
• Report list to management including a current list of outstanding titles to the Office Manager at the end of each month.
• Prepare transfer documents for used wholesale transactions.
• Maintain records and post purchases of new and used vehicles.
• Process yearly renewal of dealer tags in conjunction with Office Manager.
• Stay abreast of title regulations.
• Respond to customer questions accurately and courteously when dealing with title related questions.

Experience required must be organized and detail oriented.
