Job Title: Automation Technician

Salary: USD $40.80 / hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform highlevel machine and systems troubleshooting and repair.
• Assist engineering and plant team members with the specification installation and modification of integrated systems.
• Provide technical support for all phases of the operation.
• Uphold safety standards including personal safety and food safety.
• Comply with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and report known or suspected violations.
• Attend monthly and annual required training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Training beyond High School including either an Associates Degree (AS) in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field) or a combination of education and experience that can include skilled trades programs or military training. Certifications in any technical field or techniques are a plus.
• At least four (4) years of automation experience and/or industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in multiple skill clusters including electricity and electronics fluid power mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
• Basic computer skills to navigate systems and perform data entry.
• Strong skills in document organization the use of technical materials and research techniques.
• Ability to read understand and interpret product specifications.
• Must either be proficient or become proficient in SAP Maintenance.
• Ability to perform accurate calculations by performing addition subtraction multiplication and division.
• Accountable to self and to others.
• Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others demonstrating positive interpersonal skills and effective communication.
• Strong attention to detail accuracy and thoroughness.
• Ability to identify act with a sense of urgency and resolve problems/inconsistencies getting help from management or others as needed.
• Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and conditions.
• Physical capability to perform duties such as lifting carrying pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs. as well as repetitive motions and use of tools.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
