Position: Automation engineer
Location: Richmond VA (Preference for local candidates hybrid working model)
Client: Capital One
Ex Capital One Candidates preferred.
Interview Process: Single round (30minutes video interview).
Duration: 12 months possibility of extension and conversion depending on work performance and budget
Experience: 5 to 7 years
Visa: Any but No H1 Transfers If it is an H1B they should be in our payrolls.

Description:

Looking for an Automation Software Engineer for the Card Tech Partnerships team. The candidate should have a strong background in backend development with a focus on automation testing. This role will involve working on a replatforming effort transforming manual testing processes into automated ones.

Responsibilities:

• Work with development teams to understand architectural requirements.
• Develop automated testing solutions using Java Cypress and other relevant tools.
• Work towards achieving full automation of testing processes including unit tests integration tests and component testing.
• Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) process.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and partners to ensure project success.

Requirements:

• 57 years of experience in software development with a focus on automation testing.
• Experience in Java programming language.
• Experience with test automation tools Cypress.
• Familiarity with AWS services particularly Lambda.
• Experience with Gherkin and Cucumber for behaviordriven development.
• Previous experience in the financial services industry.
• Preference will be given to candidates located in Richmond who can work onsite with the team at West Creek. However consideration may be given to candidates willing to relocate.
