Auto Mechanic

Prime Response Inc. (PRI) is seeking a fulltime Auto Mechanic to provide logistics base supply support at NASA in Langley VA for a possible upcoming longterm government contract.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Operate a governmentprovided Vehicle Maintenance Facility (VMF) to perform inhouse maintenance and repair of transportation assets in accordance with the NASA Fleet Management Handbook and Center procedures as applicable.
  
• Coordinate scheduled maintenance and repair activities with customers
  
• SCA: 05190 MOTOR VEHICLE MECHANIC The Motor Vehicle Mechanic repairs rebuilds or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles buses trucks or tractors. Work involves most of the following: Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings bearings or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection lighting and ignition systems. In general the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.
  
• Ability to work on a variety of equipment from passenger sedans to diesel tractors and cargo trucks
  
• Ability to execute and track OEM maintenance plans
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
  
• Experience in a military/government/other highlyregulated work environment.
  
• Must have strong organizational skills and ability to multitask along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
