Associate Attorney - Tax

Responsibilities:

• Assist with tax planning and structuring for individuals businesses and investment entities.
  
• Conduct legal research and analysis on federal state and local tax laws and regulations.
  
• Prepare and review taxrelated documents including tax returns opinions and memoranda.
  
• Assist clients with tax audits appeals and controversy matters.
  
• Provide guidance on tax implications related to mergers acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
  
• Collaborate with other practice groups on crossdisciplinary matters involving tax issues.
  
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate updates to clients and colleagues.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  
• Admission to the state bar and good standing with the state bar association.
  
• Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation preferred but not required.
  
• 25 years of experience in tax law at a reputable law firm or accounting firm.
  
• Strong understanding of federal state and local tax laws and regulations.
  
• Excellent analytical research and writing skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
