Role: Asst. Manager/Dy. Manager After Sales & Service and Application Engineering
Experience: Minimum 14 years in Hydraulics Industry
Education: BE in Mechanical Engineering
Language: Excellent spoken and written English
Location and travel: based in Pune travelling around 50%
Preferable sectors: Hydraulic Industries sector Constructions Equipment
Job responsibilities:
After Sales support
- In case of failure or claim by a customer in accordance with the Sales Manager the HQ After Sales and the Manager of Global After Sales indications intervene and manage the situation
- In case of failure or claim by a customer after the actions taken write a detailed and complete report. Before being sent to the customer the report to be verified and approved by the HQ After Sales
- Plan and arrange the relative spare parts whenever a new product sold in market. Spare parts list to be verified with the Italian After Sales Office
- Plan and arrange the required tools whenever a repair needed. The list of the tools has to be verified and planned with the Italian engineering office
- Visit the customer installation do the mapping and deliver the machine whenever required and in accordance with the Country Sales Manager and the HQ R&D After Sales and Sales Manager Asia
- Maintain proper documentation of reports and communication with customers Fast and professional handling with customers
Other responsibilities
- Ready to travel to the site or field visit to attend the customer complaints.
- Need to coordinate the work / repair of the gearboxes & hydraulics
- Need to work / repair the gearbox & hydraulics on hand whenever required.
- Operation knowledge on hydraulic test bench.
- Application skills like to do the pressure mapping on the machine (by using Hydro technik equipment) collect the data on laptop and prepare a report.
- Training skills required to train the customers & their service Engineers/Dealers.
- After Sales Coordination and assist the after sales calls and attend the small OEMS individually.
- Update the customer claims in DB system. Send reports on timely basis to the customers.
- Maintain a cordial relationship with the customers & team members.
Application Engineering
- Supports customer relationships by maintaining deep product technical knowledge and providing technical advice technical support and technical expertise to enable & foster expansion in the market and solve for customer inquiry problems and needs.
- Product engineering & offerings as per Customer needs
- Catalogue product selection with detailed technical knowledge for convincing & offerings to Customer
- Work with Product Managers and customers to determine business needs and solutions Address customer queries and issues in a timely manner.
- Provide postsales support to customers as needed.
- Communicate customer feedback to design team to make appropriate changes in product design Conduct internal application trials for verification and qualification of product.
- Work with Sales Manager to develop plans to meet sales goals maintain a high level of customer awareness of product Prepare training and marketing presentations for customers and sales personnel.
- Visit key customers for specific design problems or competitive situations.
- Evaluate new software products and provide defect and enhancement reports assist in modifying existing product to improve system performance Maintain clear and accurate documentations of problem solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive tutorials to assist product team in designing and development of new products.
- Be an expert in the company s products and applications across endmarkets while being vigil of cost savings and expansion into untapped market applications.
- Understand the difference in the company s products vs. competitor s offerings and provide expert advice on the advantages of the company s products in specific applications.
- Perform analysis of complex application needs and develop recommendations in support of customer balancing business need. Conduct tooling and application testing. Prepare and present progress status and forecasting reports of assigned area of responsibility
- Maintain expert knowledge on industry trends training opportunities and forecasts.
- Support sales growth in using the company s products/technology to design and execute cost savings initiatives with customers.
- Operate the first installation of a new application under the coordination of the Sales Manager Asia and following the instructions of the after sales department from the HQ R&D After Sales
- Prepare a detailed and exhaustive report of the installation following the format given by the Italian after sales department.
In case of failure of the operation identify the root cause of such failure and report to the HQ R&D After Sales and Sales Manager Asia
