JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Fitness & Recreation Manager plans and runs all aspects of the outdoor recreation which includes the swimming pools beach marina island & indoor areas such as reception area hammam & memberships. Reports directly to Director of Royal Beach Club and ensures the smooth running of the entire recreation department when Director of Royal Beach Club is off duty.

He/she will take full responsibility for ensuring that the highest standards are met this will include training the recreation team conduct weekly KRAs with key team members departmental meetings and daily hotel meetings. The Assistant Fitness & Recreation Manager is also responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the area which is to be directly report to and followed up with engineering and outside contractors when needed. The Assistant Fitness & Recreation Manager will implement new company strategies and will advise on enhancements and CAPEX.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Achievement of Gallup goals for OSAT Pool OSAT Beach and OSAT Fitness
  • Responsibility for entire Sports Club financial and business operations including memberships in the absence of other leaders.
  • Implementation of new pool and beach service initiatives to foster customer focus.
  • Review and analysis of existing operational processes (SOPs) to ensure service delivery is exceeding expectations in all areas.
  • Enhancing of water sports and marina services
  • Continuous improvement of the facility in terms of renewing equipment brainstorm and come with ideas of new initiatives and diversify the choice facilities for our guests.
  • Maintain highest safety and security levels for all guests in the resort.
  • Being present in the operation for personalized guest interaction i.e. lead and participate in creating guests preferences data base anticipate needs.
  • Coordination of daytime and overnight cleaning to ensure that the pool beach and resort facilities are impeccably clean at all times.
  • Continuously obtain feedback from members and guests about the services and facilities
  • Embrace community footprints and engage guests in these activities.
  • Exceed revenue goals & profitability by :
    • Inventory management reduce expenses
    • Create new revenue centers : waters ports packages etc.
    • Evaluate potential marina members
  • Monthly financial reports and P&L statements forecast accuracy CAPEX etc.
  • Integration with health cub business operations. Works closely with cobusiness leader to have an understanding of fitness center operations swimming pools reception hammam membership tennis academy operations swimming etc.

Work Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years spent in Recreation Department and a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role with The RitzCarlton or another hotel company.

Education:

  • University Degree required or equivalent
  • Hospitality Industry Certifications
  • Marines and Water Sports instructing Certifications is preferable
