Job Description

The Assistant Controller manages the companys fiscal and financial accounting operations for the CLIENT Systems Division in line with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Group Accounting and Calculation Standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare all audit and taxrelated schedules and reports for the Services Division as requested by external auditors the government and state taxation bodies.
  • Understand and verify compliance with corporate and local financial and accounting standards.
  • Align financial policies and processes with corporate and group objectives.
  • Support in evaluating proposals for investment within the organization linked to the Systems Division.
  • Establish financial reporting systems and controls to guarantee that corporate expenditures are met while also meeting client needs.
  • Understand financial project management oversee the financial aspects of new machine projects and give necessary financial project data to project managers and corporate executives.
  • Ensure that all financial project paperwork is correctly filed and maintained and that projects are reconciled within the accounting system.
  • Assist with cash management and foreign currency requirements and ensuring that cash reports and cash flow projections are delivered on time.
  • Review and reconcile all Systems Division trial balance accounts; verify recording of all monthly accruals absorptions foreign exchange reevaluations and amortizations; review and approve all nonproject related costs; and assure approvals as per delegation of authority.
  • Review and create monthly financial reports a rolling quarterly projection and consult with the BCUS VP Finance and the VP of Operations Systems Division before sending to corporate.
  • Coordinate and discuss financial outcomes with employees at the corporate office.
  • Ensure all corporate reporting obligations are satisfied within the stated timelines.
  • Proactively seek recommendations and solutions to enhance the overall financial performance of the firm.
  • Train develop mentor and give effective leadership to accounting and administrative workers as well as prepare for mid to longterm personnel needs.
  • Assist in the operation of the company by effective leadership and active engagement in the Companys operation Team and to deputize for the BCUS Vice President. Finance
  • Support for the enhancement of the present Enterprise Resource Planning system and the future implementation of new IT solutions within Finance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain timely and accurate budget analysis and financial reviews for the management team.
Qualifications
  • Required
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Account certification (CPA)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Valid drivers license
  • Solid understanding of accounting and management accounting principles
  • Indepth knowledge of profit & loss statement balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
  • Understanding of various financial KPIs
  • 10 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with 5 years in finance and accounting management.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international.
  • Ability to pass background and drug/alcohol screen.
  • Language/Math/Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.
  • Computer Skills
  • Proficient personal computer skills including MS Office electronic mail record keeping routine database activity word processing spreadsheet graphics etc.
  • Knowledge of SAP manufacturing module preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements
  • Repetitive motions of the wrist hands and/or fingers.
  • Perceiving size shape warmth or texture by skin contact particularly with the fingers.
  • Lifting carrying pulling or otherwise moving goods may need up to 20 pounds of effort at times.
  • Moderate physical exercise involved executing tough everyday administrative tasks.
  • Manual dexterity adequate to reach/handle items works with the fingers and senses qualities of objects.
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color vision (ability to detect and differentiate colors); Peripheral vision
Work Environment
  • Welllighted heated and/or airconditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Up to 15% travel domestically and internationally
  • Regular working hours: Monday Friday 8:00 5:00.
  • May require working outside of regular business hours.
  • Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers light traffic)
