ASSISTANT CONTROLLER / ACCOUNTING MANAGER (Permanent)
Our client an international manufacturing company with its US headquarters in WNY is looking to hire an Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager to join their team.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform daytoday accounting functions to ensure the success and profitability of the company
  • Manage monthly closing process update general ledger and reconcile journal entries
  • Prepare financial statements as needed ensuring they are complete accurate and distributed to designated upper management
  • Review and report monthly accruals and expenses updating balance sheets for all accounts
  • Manage 2 employees (one locally one overseas) providing training mentorship and support as needed
  • Maintain intercompany account records and reconcile due to/due from regularly
  • Oversee Accounts Payable team members assisting with internal invoice approvals/routing
  • Maintain compliance with local state and federal laws/regulations
  • Create forecasts and monitor daily cash flow to ensure the company has enough financial reserves to meet obligations
  • Participate in discussions/decisions regarding technical accounting issues
  • Regularly audit current processes and procedures for areas of weakness and provide educated improvements to upper management
  • Act as the backup to the Payroll Manager
  • Other duties as assigned/as necessary


Details:

  • Position is full time direct hire
  • Standard 4045 hours/week
  • Position is 100% inoffice
  • $100000 $130000 annually depending on experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 5 years accounting experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience working with an ERP system
  • Excellent accounting and math skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel (Pivot Tables reports managing large data sets)
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong organization skills and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Selfmotivated
  • Relocation not available
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available
