This role will be based in our Star Outico Ireland business which is part of the Uniphar Pharma Division. This position offers huge potential for personal development and growth as there will be end to end responsibility for the business unit. The successful candidate will be working as part of a wider Pharma Services Finance team which offers great potential for exposure to other areas of the division.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with completion of month end accounts and month end reporting packs including interpretation and explanation of variances.
  • Responsible for maintenance of sales, purchases, and nominal ledger accounts.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet and Vendor reconciliations and resolution/investigation of balances.
  • Management of employee cash & credit card expenses - ensuring adherence to company and group policies & procedures.
  • Provide the commercial and operations teams with necessary support to maximize business opportunities.
  • Assist with Budgeting and Financial Planning process.
  • Assist with External audit queries.
  • Assist with working capital review.
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
  • Liaise and communicate appropriately with business partners, other business units and departments.
  • Continuous Process Improvement and review of existing processes.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
  • SAP experience desirable but not essential.
  • 2+ years industry experience desirable
  • Ability to work as part of a hardworking and flexible finance team.
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial background.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in particular when working closely with non-financial employees such as the commercial team.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines.
  • Decision making, problem solving, organising, and planning ability.
