The Role
The Area Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper and effective operation of the retail business.
This role requires the individual to oversee the daytoday work and operations of employees to ensure adherence to organization guidelines.
The Area Managers will also take on human resources duties including recruitment of new staff.
A key part of the role will be to develop and implement operational standards.
You will be responsible for operations of Castore and team stores in an allocated area.
Responsibilities
Planning implementing and monitoring the regional operational strategy
Accountable for maximising sales and profitability
Evaluating existing operations and developing appropriate strategies.
Training store managers in effective sales and supervisory techniques.
Creating and communicating sales targets at regular intervals.
Monitoring sales across stores to check that quotas are met.
Identify organizational or employeerelated issues and create effective solutions Setting and implementing performance standards across all stores.
Ensuring that employees observe company policies and procedures
Collaborating with other senior managers to ensure that operations are consistent across the board.
Traveling to stores to conduct your duties onsite as needed.
Identify operational bottlenecks and suggest solutions for improvement
Create and deliver reports to senior leadership team
Meet regularly with managed employees to provide critical feedback and encouragement
Ensure compliance with the companys policies and operational guidelines
Enhancing customer and client relationships through operational excellence
Skills & Qualities
Skills and Experience:
Experience as a senior manager or similar role within retail operations
Proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage others
Distinct communication skills to include a willingness to offer positive and constructive feedback as needed
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability communicate across different levels of an organization
Working knowledge of basic computer operating systems such as Windows Microsoft suite
Excellent organizational skills and an ability to create easilyfollowed guidelines for others
Critical thinker and problemsolving skills
Good timemanagement skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
