Applications Engineer Northeast Territory

APPLICATIONS ENGINEER (Permanent)
Our client an international manufacturing company with its US headquarters in WNY is looking to hire two (2) Applications Engineers to join their growing team. All positions are located out of US Corporate in the WNY area and will be responsible for an assigned territory in the US.

Responsibilities:

• Work very close with the Regional Sales Manager of your territory and regularly correspond with customers; make visits to customer sites
  
• Become a product & system expert to be able to provide the best solutions to fit customer needs and how the product/systems are applied; educate internal and external team members
  
• Listen to customers needs/wants determine customer needs on a project understand customers budgets
  
• Conduct rootcauseanalysis for complex issues and provide educated thoughtout recommendations
  
• Provide clear and concise instructions for solutions to issues as they arise
  
• Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to drive business and ensure positive experiences
  
• Prepare quotes for customers ensuring adherence to their specifications and budgets
  
• Train staff and customers in product information and provide technical support when necessary
  
• Collaborate with various team members to develop White Papers for installation and maintenance guidelines
  
• Act as an owner of these papers and processes providing technical support as needed
  
• Work well in a team environment as well as independently
  
• Complete special projects in a timely manner
  
• Other duties as assigned/as necessary
  

Details:

• Position is full time direct hire; based out of US headquarters in Buffalo NY area
  
• Valid Driver s License
  
• 10%15% travel to your territory
  
• Territories available:
  
• Northeast (New York State New England and Pennsylvania)
  
• Midwest (Illinois Minnesota Wisconsin Missouri)
  

• Ability to travel to Canada if necessary
  
• When not traveling will be inoffice
  
• Flexible hours (i.e. 7:00am4:00pm 8:00am5:00pm 9:00am6:00pm); standard 40hour work week with minimal overtime
  
• $80000 $105000 annually depending on experience
  
• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  
• Understanding of hydronic principles thermodynamics pumps plumbing systems HVAC fire suppression systems etc.
  
• 2 years relative experience in an industrial environment
  
• Strong organizational and time management skills
  
• Excellent assessment skills ability to understand customers needs/wants solution provider problem solver
  
• Strong communication and presentation skills
  
• Strong technical skills
  
• Selfmotivated
  
• Relocation not available
