Morgan Stanley Investment Management (IMIT) Technology exclusively partners with the Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) business division to design and develop systems and integrate vendor products to globally support full life cycle business processing. Activities include Portfolio Analysis Risk Trading Operations and Sales & Marketing. Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) Technology also provides holistic support and quality assurance across the suite of applications used in the MSIM environment.

Role Description:
Morgan Stanley Investment Management Technology in Boston offers a challenging opportunity to be part of a highly specialized business analyst cum support group supporting the Portfolio Managers and Equity/MultiAsset Trading Desks. The Solutions team is a client focused IT team responsible for supporting core business processes covering portfolio construction order generation order management trade execution trade confirmation and trade settlement primarily through the use of Charles River IMS. Specifically this role would be to assist with the migration from an onpremises instance of CRIMS to their SaaS solution. Key work would include partnering with PM s Equity and Derivative Traders and Trade Implementation to learn their workflows and data needs and integrate them into SaaSfriendly solutions and native CRIMS functionality.

Primary skills:
Primary point of contact with Business Users (Portfolio Managers Traders etc.)
Must have extensive Charles River IMS experience preferably with v22R1 or greater
Extensive understanding of Equity/Derivatives/FX trade life cycle electronic trading FIX and accounting.
Must be team oriented and work well within a global team
Must be selfsufficient be accountable and act like an owner of IT related issues handled by the team
Good analytical problemsolving skills coupled with strong communication skills
Advanced business analysis experience in front office application space which mostly includes requirement gathering documentation writing and executing test cases develop new workflows
Advanced Database/SQL (Sybase preferred) skills ability to write stored procedures
Advanced understanding and ability to write scripts in Perl Shell Python

Preferred skills:
Experience with Charles River compliance components
Participated in previous CRIMS SaaS migrations
Experience working on reporting tools like SSRS/Boxi/Tableau
Exposure to Agile methodology

Education:
Bachelor s Degree / 10 12 years of financial services experience
