Job Description

Our Alterations Consultant is an independent contractor responsible for completing all fittings and alterations for our customers. Responsibilities include:


  • Interface with Customers by phone and in person on the sales floor.
  • Attend Fittings (first fittings and pickups)
  • Offers fit and alterations consultations and estimates.
  • Communicate how alterations play an important role in perfecting the dress and promote all alteration services and personalization options
  • Perform and oversee all alterations fittings sewing steaming pressing and spot cleaning of garments to company standards.
  • Maintains quality control guidelines and inspects all garments altered/steamed/pressed to verify pristine condition before final delivery to customer
  • Welcomes all customers with genuine and friendly enthusiasm and communicates clearly and concisely by problem solving and excellent conflict resolution.

Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand walk and sit for extended periods of time; reach for tools and objects with hands and arms; climb stairs; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk to and hear customers. The employee must occasionally lift to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to see up close and at a distance as well as use peripheral vision and depth perception and be able to look at read and use a computer and all other electronic devices for long periods of time.


Education & Credentials:

  • Prior seeing experience required preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment
  • 12 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
  • Prior experience with computerized POS system and ability to use one
